Description

Construction of a Heavy Lift Pad at Peel Ports,
comprising approximately 1,800m³ of reinforced
concrete. Works included pile trimming,
reinforcement installation, embedded steelwork,
extensive drainage and manhole construction, duct
runs, service connections to existing infrastructure,
large-scale concrete pours, and brush finishing to
the full slab area to meet the required specification.

Challenges

Local supply constraints and the coordination of
multiple concrete pours to maintain programme
requirements within an operational port environment.
Careful planning and sequencing of pile trimming,
drainage, duct runs, service connections, and
reinforcement works were required to achieve
programme milestones and quality standards.

Description

Construction of a double depth basement grade 3
RC box including, Capping Beam, Basement raft,
pile caps, drainage, pump packages, waterproofing
systems, lining walls, suspended slabs. Slipform of
large area stair and lift core. Interface with follow on
Structural Steel contractor

Challenges
Early Sensitive local environment, restricted hours
all adjacent to LUL and around extensive basement
propping scheme.

Description

Core extension of 2 number floors, via drill and grout connection detail with existing structure.
In-situ concrete stairs. Concrete core infills. Metal decking concrete toppings and roof parapet walls, upstands and plinths.

Description

Slipform of 9 levels of concrete core Basement raft and pile caps, fin walls, liner and Buttress walls, waterproofing and ground floor reinforced concrete slabs. All cast in basement drainage and GRP tanks.
